App Store, das größte Programm Warenhaus der Welt knackt heute die 2 Milliarden Download-Grenze. Erst im April 2009 wurde die Milliarden-Grenze geknackt. Mehr als 85.000 Applikationen stehen für über 50 Millionen iPhone und iPod touch Besitzer zur Verfügung. Über 125.000 Entwickler nehmen an Apple’s iPhone Developer Programm teil.
“The rate of App Store downloads continues to accelerate with users downloading a staggering two billion apps in just over a year, including more than half a billion apps this quarter alone,” so Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
Heute können iPhone und iPod touch Kunden in 77 Ländern weltweit in den 20 verschiedenen Kategorien auswählen. Seit dem neuen iTunes 9 ist die Verwaltung und Suche von Apps nochmals Benutzerfreundlicher geworden.
